"DP" in DP Roller Chain stands for "Double Plating."
The chain is galvanized and the surface is specially treated. These
coatings protect the chain against corrosive environments. The coating
adheres well to the chain, is very smooth and is difficult to scratch.
Furthermore, chromium is not used, so it is environmentally safe. A
groundbreaking technology for the special surface treatment of chain.

Better corrosion resistance than nickel-plated and zinc-coated
chain. DP treated chain stands up under salt-water (brine) spray
tests for more than 500 hours.
Usable Outdoors
DP Roller Chain is resistant to acid rain and other adverse weather
conditions, which makes it extremely reliable for outdoor use.

not use chromium - environmentally friendly
Recently the regulation of harmful materials is being tightened
worldwide and the use of chromium, as a material for surface
treatment to prevent rusting, is gradually being restricted. Tsubaki
recognizes the importance of these environmental concerns, and
therefore our DP Roller Chain contains no harmful chromium,
corresponding to the needs of the 21st Century.
